What should you eat more of in October?

Pizza and pasta are two of the most popular foods in the United States, and for good reason — they’re delicious! Luckily, Philadelphia dishes out more than its fair share of these beloved Italian specialties. Grab a slice or a bowl (or both!) with Reserve, and enjoy National Pizza and Pasta Month at these neighborhood hotspots.

OSTERIA (FAIRMOUNT)

Osteria is an award-winning Northern Italian-inspired eatery. The heart of the restaurant is its open kitchen, which dishes out homemade pastas, authentic Neapolitan and Roman-style pizzas, and wood-grilled meats and seafood. The industrial setting is home to a dining room that is both spacious and inviting, as well as a glass-enclosed patio that can be enjoyed year round.

AMIS TRATTORIA (WASHINGTON SQUARE)

Amis Trattoria brings rustic, Roman-style Italian flavors to the heart of Philadelphia with nightly dinners and weekend brunches. The shared-plates menu features both classic and creative pasta dishes and a selection of meats and fish, complemented by an inventive cocktail program. Chef Brad Spence’s open kitchen is the centerpiece of the lively yet comfortable loft-like space, which also features concrete and white brick walls and colorful accents.

GARCES TRADING CO. (WASHINGTON SQUARE)

At Garces Trading Co., award-winning Chef Jose Garces and Chef de Cuisine Kyle Baddorf offer European bistro fare inspired by some of their favorite restaurants from around the world, with a particular focus on those in Italy, Spain and France. Known for its signature Sicilian thick crust pizza. Housed in a large space reminiscent of a European cafe, the casual yet elegant setting also features a gourmet market and weekend brunch menu.

VETRI (WASHINGTON SQUARE)

At his rustic eleven-table dining room located in Center City Philadelphia, Chef Marc Vetri offers a multi-course tasting menu of Northern Italian fare featuring homemade pasta. The beverage pairing program, composed of some of the wine cellar’s 2,500 mostly Italian-focused bottles or craft and artisanal beers, adds to the bonafide Italian experience. Exposed wood beams keep the intimate and elegant townhouse setting rustic and reminiscent of Italy.

Reserve is here to help you celebrate the best month of the year — National Pizza and Pasta Month — the right way. Place a request to get seated.

Happy dining,

Lisa Ganz, Reserve Philadelphia
