1. The House
Piperade is husband-and-wife duo Gerald and Cameron Hirigoyen's French Basque-inspired eatery. Chef Gerald directs the preparation of classic and creative dishes influenced by Basque Country, a region stretching across the Pyrenees Mountains into Spain and France. Rustic yet elegant decor fills the interior, and the intimate, exposed-brick dining room features a glass-paneled wall to showcase the restaurant's expansive selection of international and local wines.
Executive Chef/Owner Daniel Patterson, winner of the James Beard Award for "Best Chef: West" in 2014, mixes modern culinary techniques with local ingredients at Coi to create imaginative dishes that speak of place, memory and emotion. A 10 to 12-course tasting menu changes often according to the seasons, and both the food and design reflect Northern California's terroir, giving way to an evocative, transporting experience. Coi has two Michelin stars and was named one of the World's 50 Best Restaurants in 2014.
4. Fog City
Fog City is a historic destination for locally inspired New American cuisine and cocktails. Along with the restaurant's co-founders, Chef Bruce Hill has reimagined the former Fog City Diner to craft a classic, innovative menu in a modern and sleek setting. The marble wrap-around bar is the perfect place to enjoy a selection from the drink list, while the windows offer bay views from any seat.
