New West Side Restaurants in NYC

New week, new restaurants on Reserve in NYC! We’re taking over the west side downtown, from Meatpacking and Chelsea additions to two great sister restaurants in Flatiron and the West Village.

Santina (Meatpacking District)

The latest hotspot from the owners of Carbone, Dirty French and ZZ’s Clam Bar, Santina is located in an airy, light-filled space under the High Line. Santina’s coastal Italian menu features fresh vegetables and seafood with modern touches and an equally refreshing beverage program.

Toro (Chelsea)

South Chelsea’s incarnation of Boston’s Barcelona-style tapas bar from Chefs Ken Oringer and Jamie Bissonnette, Toro features an eclectic menu highlighting both classic and modern tapas, combining regional Spanish flavors and techniques with local, market-fresh ingredients. Cocktails and wines are Spanish-focused — with emphasis on small producers and growers — while regional rotations explore all the best Spain has to offer.

The Gander (Flatiron)

At The Gander, Chef Jesse Schenker’s New American restaurant, diners can enjoy innovative yet approachable cuisine in a warm and welcoming setting. Schenker’s unique and imaginative style of cooking is reflected in his composed charcuteries, house-made pickles, fresh pastas and selection of main dishes. The Gander also boasts a deep, international wine program in addition to a large assortment of spirits, all available at the expansive bar.

Recette (West Village)

Recette is a modern American restaurant that marries traditional and progressive techniques, incorporating only the freshest ingredients for maximum flavor. The original home of Chef Jesse Schenker’s “underground” supper clubs, Recette (whose name means recipe in French) features a seasonal, approachable menu of whimsical snacks and plates, as well as sophisticated tasting options. The carefully curated wine list includes a selection of biodynamic, organic Rieslings and exquisite French Burgundies.

So head west, and check out some of the city’s best restaurants. We can’t wait to help get you seated soon

Happy dining,
