Travel the World through Food in NYC

Itching to explore the world but can’t get away? This month, take an adventure through food and get a taste of different cultures with these five dishes. Whether you’re craving Asian spices, Latin flavors or homegrown recipes from your own backyard, experience a new global cuisine on Reserve.

Around the World in 5 Dishes

AMERICAN - Dry-aged Ribeye Steak (The Dutch - South Village)

The Dutch delivers regional American fare, including notable oyster, chicken and steak dishes under the direction of Chef Andrew Carmellini and NoHo Hospitality Group. Sleek wood furniture and modern light fixtures create a lively, contemporary atmosphere — perfect for enjoying the classic cuisine.

ASIAN - Steamed Buns (Má Pêche - Midtown West)

Located inside the Chambers Hotel in Midtown, Má Pêche is an Asian-influenced restaurant by Chef David Chang. The restaurant features menus for all three meals plus brunch, and a rotating selection of passed plates to accompany the chef’s special dishes — all meant for sharing. The subterranean, large-scale space features Momofuku’s characteristic, understated atmosphere of wood tables and splashes of wall art.

EUROPEAN - Yellowfin Tuna (Bâtard - TriBeCa)

Bâtard is an elegant restaurant with contemporary European fare, including plentiful seafood options. The refined cuisine — including modern interpretations of Austrian, French and English classics — is delivered exclusively on prix fixe menus. Guests are invited to enjoy a selection from the expansive collection of wines, cocktails and beers in the modern yet intimate dining room.

MEXICAN - Pescado Tacos (El Toro Blanco - West Village)

With Chef Josh Capon at the helm, lively El Toro Blanco delivers, refined Mexican cuisine, made-to-order guacamole and plenty of tequilas. The restaurant’s orange and red accented decor, soft lighting and high, wood ceilings contribute to its lively, chic atmosphere. Inventive cocktails, wines and beers round out the menu.

MEDITERRANEAN - Zabzi Tagine (Bar Bolonat - West Village)

Located in the West Village, Bar Bolonat is an exuberant celebration of modern Mediterranean and new Israeli cuisines. Bold flavors and spices are staples on Chef Einat Admony’s playful, seasonally-inspired menu and sharing is encouraged when selecting from small plates, appetizers, and entrees. Menu offerings change often, and they use local, seasonal, sustainably harvested produce where possible.

Happy dining,
Lisa Ganz, Reserve NYC
