Blow Out the Candles With Reserve Philadelphia

Today, Reserve turns 1 year old, and we wanted to take the time to thank you for being one of the first to try us out. We’re humbled by the challenge of changing dining as we know it and honored to have you along for the ride. In addition, we’re thrilled to announce that Reserve is now officially live in Washington D.C., working with some of the city’s best restaurantsReserve is here to help you celebrate all of life's special milestones with great company and food.

In the spirit of our birthday celebrations this week, start planning your own upcoming special occasions at these Philadelphia hotspots. Let your favorite concierge seat you for an unforgettable night.

At Amada — the first restaurant from award-winning Chef Jose Garces — Chef de Cuisine Austin Schafer offers a contemporary take on traditional Spanish tapas perfect for sharing with your group. The warm, rustic-chic eatery is outfitted with inviting and industrial accents, including a spacious bar area reminiscent of a Spanish bodega, a six-seat chef’s counter overlooking the open kitchen and a private event space. An extensive Spanish wine list and weekend brunch menu are on offer.

Named Best German Restaurant by Philadelphia Mag, Brauhaus Schmitz is an authentic German restaurant and beer hall. The kitchen serves up fresh takes on classic dishes, and guests can choose from a wide selection of the best brews Germany has to offer. The convivial, cavernous space is perfect for enjoying the hearty cuisine and festive drinks with family and friends.

At Kevin Sbraga’s second restaurant, The Fat Ham, the Top Chef winner prepares unique, pork-centric and Southern-inspired small plates. The list of seasonal, specialty barrel-aged cocktails and more than 120 different bourbons and whiskeys also takes its inspiration from the South. An eclectic collection of tableware, chairs and artwork keep the high-ceilinged, retro-rustic space as unexpected as the fare. The restaurant gives guests a wide array of options when it comes to private events, including family-style prix fixe menus.

Heritage is a modern and rustic restaurant with seasonal New American fare prepared by Chef Sean Magee and crafted from locally sourced ingredients. The drink list — which notes the local purveyors who contribute to each beverage — contains a variety of inventive concoctions. Situated inside a former Northern Liberties warehouse, the homey restaurant offers plenty of places for gathering, from the 40-foot bar (where 38 beers are available on tap) to the cedar-paneled dining room and the rooftop garden. Perfect for celebrations, Heritage is open until 2am and features live jazz/funk bands.

At R2L, Chef/Owner Daniel Stern prepares creative New American fare made from ingredients sourced from local farmers. Accompanied by a bar menu featuring snacks and small bites, the beverage program includes an ample selection of international and domestic wines and unique, seasonally-inspired cocktails. But the wraparound windows — which offer panoramic views of the city below — are the defining feature of the sleek, Art Deco-inspired space, perfect for any special milestone.

Happy dining,
Lisa Ganz, Reserve Philadelphia
