We’ve been thinking a lot recently about the importance of strong partnerships, and our mission to improve dining not only for guests, but for restaurants as well. It makes us even more thrilled to be welcoming on new restaurant partners in all of our cities — Boston, Los Angeles and New York.
The seven newest restaurants to join Reserve share our passion for hospitality and creating great dining experiences and now you’ll have more options than ever before. Whether you feel like Southern fried chicken or classic Italian, shared small plates or a 14-course tasting menu, you’ll have more choices now than ever before. Read on to find your new favorite spot:
Barnyard (LA) – Chef Jesse Barber’s restaurant, Barnyard, brings a soulful and rustic menu of small and shared plates to Venice. The warm and welcoming atmosphere is the perfect setting to enjoy Chef Barber’s dishes featuring Mediterranean and Japanese flavors and textures. According to Chef Barber, “Food is one of the most important connections between people and I hope to create lasting relationships with neighbors, friends, farms and local vendors.” With Barnyard, he achieves just that.
Birds and Bubbles (NYC) – Birds & Bubbles is the first full-service restaurant from Sarah Simmons, owner of CITY GRIT Culinary Salon in New York City. Using the highest quality seasonal ingredients, the Birds & Bubbles menu features dishes paying homage to Simmons’ southern roots with an elevated take on Southern classics. This includes dishes often served for a sunday supper, such as her Buttermilk Fried Chicken. These new twists on old favorites bring global flavors to familiar dishes served side by side with bubbly from the team’s favorite champagne producers.
Pagani (NYC) – Pagani is a casual and elegant Italian restaurant located in the heart of the West Village, with a menu featuring fresh and seasonal appetizers, homemade pastas and hearty entrées. Their beverage program boasts affordable high-quality wines, inspired signature cocktails and a selection of craft beer. Open daily for lunch, brunch and dinner, Pagani suits every occasion — from a romantic dinner for two to a lively outing with friends.
Scratch|Bar (LA) – Scratch|Bar, situated on LA’s infamous Restaurant Row, focuses on honest, creative and accessible high-end cuisine. Scratch|Bar represents a bastion for both foodies and the food curious alike, where truly innovative culinary craftsmanship is enjoyed in a relaxed and intimate environment. Serving only what is made in-house from scratch, the restaurant offers everything from a la carte dining to a complete set of unique tasting menus — highlighted by a 14-course Chef’s Counter tasting experience, where Chef Phillip Frankland Lee prepares and presents all 14 courses table side. The bar program hosts an equally unique rendering of cocktails that pair perfectly with Scratch|Bar’s whimsical menu.
Sotto (LA) – At Sotto, Chefs Zach Pollack and Steve Samson deliver an honest, market-driven menu of regionally-inspired Southern Italian dishes including fresh housemade pastas and Neapolitan pizza cooked in an artisan wood burning oven. Sotto’s menu is complemented by a fresh, seasonally relevant cocktail program with a strong background in the classics and the use of lesser known Italian liqueurs. Sotto also offers an eclectic list of boutique wines from both Italy and California.
Steel & Rye (Boston) – Steel & Rye, located on the Milton/Dorchester line, is open for dinner and drinks seven nights a week, and brunch on Sundays. Chef/Owner Chris Parsons is rocking it in the kitchen, GM/Owner Dan Kerrigan welcomes you at the door and be sure to check out the bread and desserts by Pastry Chef Meghan Thompson. Set in a former ambulance garage — it’s where raw spice meets refined food.
Via Matta (Boston) – Michael Schlow’s Via Matta, located in chic Park Square, transports diners to Piedmont and Tuscany with its unpredictable and ever changing menu. The warm and spacious dining room is complimented by the seasonal outdoor patio and the ever-popular bar.
